Helllllo, everyone!
Welcome to Page to the Stage. For those of you who have not joined us for a PttS in the past, I will give you a quick overview:
This blog will follow along behind the scenes of our current show – in this case, it is Miss Holmes, a murder mystery that takes place during the time of Sherlock Holmes (Victorian Era, 1880s in this case). However, in this version of Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock and Watson are both women. The play is true to some of the difficulties women in their positions in life would have encountered in the Victorian Era.
We will start with a quick overview of the Era, and then you will start to meet the actors and the production team! Please feel free to leave any questions or comments; we will answer as best we can!
Oh also, I’m Trista, Centerstage’s Artistic Director. I’m also in the show, which is not something that happens very much. So that’s fun?
What questions or thoughts come to mind when you think of Sherlock Holmes? Anything? Nothing? What about murder mysteries set in the historical past? On a scale of 1-10, how confident are you that you will solve the mystery before the reveal?
